"Hi, I’m Tanesha Trimble.

I came to Brookside a couple of months ago, back in August. I was locked up for a little bit. It’s been a pretty hard year - sleeping locked up in a place with people you don’t even know, not even knowing where you’re gonna go when you get out of here.

Coming out of jail, I didn’t have anywhere to go. Brookside has just given me the resources to not only be a better person for myself, but also become a mother for her. I was able to get my ID, I got my birth certificate, I’m about to get my second paycheck...

I’m 9 months pregnant now, and I’m not struggling to figure out where I’m gonna sleep with her. I’m not house-hopping anymore.

I’m just so grateful.

This has absolutely changed my life."
